Role Overview:
As an assistant Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the early stages of projects, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure successful project initiation. You will be responsible for assisting pre-construction activities, including design and value engineering, The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a strong understanding of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pre-construction activities for large-scale projects, focusing on data centers and industrial sheds.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop comprehensive project plans and strategies.
Conduct thorough feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments to inform decision-making processes.
Implement value engineering techniques to optimize project performance while minimizing costs.
Assist procurement processes, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
Provide strategic guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry best practices.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence within the pre-construction team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in design within the construction industry, with a focus on data centers and industrial sectors.
Basic technical knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop your career and skillset.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments.
