The Service
The Adult Drug and Alcohol Service is Hillcrest Futures’ service for adults who use substances across Perth & Kinross. This service operates in partnership with other key stakeholders to offer a wide range of supports to people affected by drug and alcohol issues and associated harms. We support individuals to build on their strengths and develop strategies to initiate and maintain their own recovery. We support family members struggling to cope with a loved one’s addiction to drugs and alcohol to improve their wellbeing and manage their situation more constructively.
The Role
The project worker will provide one-to-one support, advice and guidance to people with substance use issues. If you have the skills to engage and motivate, and thrive on seeing others reach their potential, then this could be the role for you. You will deliver groups to help people to develop new hobbies and interests as well as helping to support each other through talking about their shared experience. You will support the delivery of recovery cafes across Perth and Kinross alongside a number of key stakeholders.
You Will
* You will have experience of working with people on a one-to-one basis as well as experience of working within a multi-agency team.
* You will have good written and verbal communication skills.
* You will have experience of community-based work and the ability to deliver awareness-raising and educational sessions to a range of stakeholders.
* You will be self-motivated and able to work under your own initiative.
* Be educated to SCQF Level 7 SVQ3 or equivalent.
