Company: Marsh Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Construction team at Marsh. This role will be based in Norwich with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Client Manager will work within a highly skilled team of Client Executives/Client Managers that specialises in managing a portfolio of existing construction accounts, alongside dealing with new Project/Annual enquiries. The successful candidate will help manage a book of business and deal with all queries from brokers, clients and stakeholders as well as the day-to-day running of the existing portfolio including renewals, mid-term adjustment, placements, etc. We are a tight, professional and technical team of 150 insurance professionals in the UK working with all insurance products and services for our portfolio of large commercial construction clients. We will rely on you to: Provide close support to both Client Executives (CE) and our in-house Broking Team, including management of the placement process – new business and renewals. This extends to collection and distribution of premiums, as well as routine servicing of accounts. Develop an excellent understanding of CE/Broking Team requirements Implement the Construction specific placement strategy to achieve growth goals and provide exceptional client service. Facilitate submission of new coverage enquiries and obtain quotes from Insurers based upon the Client First Principals for Broking, being “Identify, Promote, Pursue, Handle, Continue, Manage” transaction model. Bind cover according to Client instructions and be responsible for the accuracy of policy documents. Create and maintain relationships within own practice, insurance markets, clients, and underwriters to provide cohesive client service. Interface closely with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production. Advise management about client issues or trends through clear communication, and participates in the development of solutions As well as technical and administrative support, depending on seniority and experience, the CM may be expected to deal directly, and build relationships with, clients, intermediaries and markets, in order to ensure the timely and accurate processing of placements, and comprehensive servicing. What you need to have: The ability to process instructions whilst working under pressure Excellent relationship building skills Confidence to be an articulate verbal and written communicator. Strong organisational skills, diary management, and an ability to multi-task. The range of specific tasks and depth of CM involvement will be guided by experience and seniority. The CM role will encompass a range of different grades, dependent upon levels of responsibility and breadth of those tasks. Good standard of education What makes you stand out: Previous experience gained within insurance as an account handler/broker support, ideally with construction clients (but not essential).
