An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrative assistant based within Maternity at James Cook University Hospital. The post holder will provide effective administration support to the new Maternal Mental Health Service. They will provide excellent communication skills and good customer care.
The post holder will assist in maintaining an effective maternal mental health service that is responsive to the needs of the women and pregnant people. They will act as a call handler for maternal mental health enquiries, ensuring effective and efficient handling and processing of all referrals and queries by use of telephone and electronic systems, following the appropriate referral processes. The post holder will control and take charge of calls managing all in a calm professional manner and treating all those you deal with dignity and respect.
The post holder will support the efficient processing of information and communication as required and ensure that clinical correspondence is accurately transcribed, within agreed timescales, in line with the Trust Policy. Appropriate methods will be used and information recorded appropriately to ensure that performance targets can be monitored and reported upon.
Leadership and Improvement Training
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. This training programme has been designed to support our staff in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the following training sessions:
1. Service Improvement for Beginners
After you complete these one and a half days of training, you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer a range of additional in-house courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.
