Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE
As a Technical Writer, you will produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make our products easier to use.
MAJOR / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• The role requires defining and executing a Knowledge Management strategy for various Digital Software applications alongside the Senior Technical Writer.
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
• Need to be able to communicate and work with cross functional teams from software engineering to end users in the business who you need to influence, but over whom you have no control.
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, release notes, online help, user guides, and developer guides.
• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
• Create and maintain the information architecture.
• The ability to take multiple streams of unstructured and frequently contradictory information using a mixture of terminology and convert this into an organized set of materials that can be easily navigated and understood by the end user.
• Work with software development teams using different tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Prioritize the deliverables based on version release schedules, ability to work independently and manage your time, as well as organize feedback and review of the produced content by suitable SME’s.
• Rapidly understand technical and business concepts and converge the two using clear and precise language.
• Zero Harm – Ensure all operations are compliance with Zero Harm framework with all Zero Harm policies and action plans are fully implemented.

• Problem solving relates to the requirement in the role to analyse, reason and arrive at conclusions to solve problems. This can be range between routine and patterned (day-to-day within procedures) or more complex in nature requiring analytical and innovative solutions.

• Working autonomously or having a disrupted level of line manager support with differing location and/or time zones.
• Working in a matrix environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in English, writing, or related field.
• Demonstrated superior writing abilities and attention to details.
• Knowledge of media production, and dissemination techniques and methods
• Knowledge of graphic and design techniques.
• Must have experience and demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams of creative and technical experts.
• Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience of software tech writing experience.
• Knowledge of industrial supply chain network, cloud, IOT space preferred.
• Cross functional experience and effective communication.
• Working experience in a global and diverse cultural organization.
• Experience in working with JIRA, Confluence.
• Experience with CSS and HTML
• Madcap Flare or any other similar Help Authoring Tools (HAT) – must have.
• Bitbucket (for source control and backup) - nice to have.
• Amazon AWS - for publishing help content - nice to have.
• Image capturing tools.
