Job Description JDR Cable Systems are looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join our busy Maintenance department in Hartlepool. The maintenance department ensures that all work undertaken maintains an acceptable level of quality while ensuring manufacturing efficiency is maintained. The role of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician ensures the machinery and plant are maintained in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule as well as the covering of breakdowns and modifications to equipment. Both positions are working a day shift pattern, however, to facilitate shift cover during holiday/sickness, some shift working is to be expected. This is a great opportunity for someone that has significant previous experience in a maintenance or technical role, together with experience of the maintenance and repair of both electrical and mechanical machines and systems. Experience of managing small projects and installation work is also advantageos. Job Requirements Ideally educated to HNC level in Electrical Engineering, with 18th edition wiring regulations (Electrical), you will be familiar with automated industrial electrical control systems, especially rotating machinery. Possess essential PLC skills to fault finding and diagnostics level and have the ability to implement new processes and run a Preventative Planned Maintenance system. You must be confident at working at heights as this is a regular requirement of the role. JDR maintain work at a high standard, and it is essential that work procedures are followed in order to ensure the quality of our products. The role of Electrical and a Mechanical Maintenance Technician is a fundamental part of our manufacturing process so you will have excellent timekeeping and attendance as they are essential for the effective running of the department.
