You will be responsible and accountable for leading a small team in the delivery of all Fuels Contracts (including cylinder services) manufactured from the Springfields Fuel site in Preston, Lancashire.
In addition to performing traditional contract management activities, you will be responsible for representing Fuel Delivery and Contract Management on strategic UK Fuel Growth projects and support the Business development teams progressing new Fuel opportunities through to contract delivery.
You will have extensive contract management knowledge and be capable of leading department or cross-functional teams of professionals in the execution of complex tasks to challenging timescales.
You will be working in the Fuel Delivery and Contract Management team (known locally as Business and Product Delivery (BPD)).
You will be expected to work with and alongside a variety of stakeholders across the Westinghouse business reporting through Head of BPD to the Global Fuel Business Unit.
Whilst this role doesn’t currently include any direct reports, you will be leading a small team, mentoring less experienced team members and deputising for the Head of BPD where required.
Key Responsibilities include:
* For all Fuel and cylinder services contracts:
• Representing Westinghouse in front of the customer and the ‘voice of the customer’ within Westinghouse.
• Timely delivery of all contractual obligations.
• Coordinate and lead all customer meetings/visits/audits demonstrating an ability to positively impact and influence towards desired outcomes.
• Managing, monitoring and improving customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining overall financial responsibility and control including all income and cash forecasting, invoicing and cash collection, debt management etc.
• Using relevant systems to ensure timely and accurate Demand control/management including Business Plan submission in consultation with the Customer Account Manager or equivalent role in the organisation.
• Ownership and management of risk, mitigation plans and escalation where appropriate.
• Ownership and management of change, including tracking and close out with stakeholders.
• Maintaining high standards of systems and control to support delivery always seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage the interface between all Westinghouse supporting departments and business units e.g. production, quality, transport, finance and the relevant Westinghouse Business Units.
• Seek new opportunities within your contracts/customers.
• Represent Fuel Delivery and Contract Management on strategic UK Fuel Growth projects.
• Deputise for the Head of Business and Product Delivery.
This is a role that requires travel to support customer and project meetings with flexible working from home and at the Springfields site.
Knowledge of fuel and components manufacturing, NF products and services, commercial operations, financial planning and strategic objectives.
Demonstrated ability to communicate deliverables status, issues, and Westinghouse technical position to the customer while building strong relationships with customer counterparts.
Good organisational and interpersonal skills are required to effectively manage the work of the team and the interface with other departments and stakeholders.
Attention to detail, accuracy, sound judgement and an ability to prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met.
High standards and expectations in their approach to work.
Demonstrated approach to continuous improvement and learning especially in relation to new technology.
Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office software.
Knowledge of import and export regimes and logistics.
Adheres to all legislative, regulatory and company procedures and standards e.g. safety, quality, risk and security etc. appropriate to the role.
Willing to travel when necessary to support contracts/projects.
Prepared to work flexibly where necessary to meet deadlines.
Committed to their own safety and the safety of the team.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A minimum of 6 years in a customer-facing environment in contract management/project management marketing organisation or equivalent.
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
* Experienced in using SAP and Microsoft Products including Excel and Word.
* A professional qualification relevant to the role or relevant experience.
* Nuclear experience is a plus.
