About The VeloBuild Project
The VeloBuild Project empowers disadvantaged young people by providing them with the opportunity to build and own their bikes. Our mission is to foster practical skills, boost mental well-being, and promote physical activity. We align with local and national priorities around sustainable transport, youth engagement, and public health.
The Role: Fund Manager
This is not your typical job. This is your opportunity to be part of something big, impactful, and rewarding. As a Fund Manager, you'll spearhead funding efforts, engaging with stakeholders such as local authorities, businesses, and community organisations to drive financial support for the project.
What's in it for you?
* Sweat Equity First, Reward Later: For the first 3 funding drives, you’ll work on a low basic pay of £350 which is the introduction cost to drive interest. After this period, you'll earn £800 per fund pot managed, with **7% commission on the total funds raised launching offer price we made to schools to drive interest
* Massive Earning Potential: A skilled fund manager can handle up to four fund pots simultaneously, each lasting approximately 8 weeks.

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Building relationships with councillors, MPs, and businesses to unlock funding opportunities.
* Implementing our structured funding framework, leveraging pre-written templates and outreach strategies.
* Identifying and exploring diverse funding streams beyond the obvious, including sustainability, transport, and community health initiatives.
* Engaging with service clubs, philanthropists, and local businesses to establish sponsorship deals.
* Promoting the project through community events, social media, and public relations.
* Managing the entire funding cycle from initial outreach to securing and overseeing funds.
What We’re Looking For:
* A passionate and entrepreneurial individual with an unstoppable drive to succeed.
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
* Experience in fundraising, sales, or business development (preferred but not essential if you have the right mindset).
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay organised.
* A strong understanding of community engagement and stakeholder management.
* A willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to hit targets.
