We are supporting NIHCR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) to recruit a new interim Operations Manager to cover a 12 month secondment.
This role line manages a team seven Researchers, with a requirement to be at their Twickenham office, just once per week.
The role offers plenty of variety from Grant Programme Management and M&E.
You will oversee the smooth delivery of funding competitions, ensuring projects meet key milestones and quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to funding high-quality research that directly benefits the NHS, patients, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Plan and lead new funding competitions, coordinating with cross-functional teams and managing timelines, resources, risks, and quality assurance.
* Team Leadership: Line manage a team of 6-9 staff members, supporting professional growth, recruiting new talent, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for operational matters, both internally and externally, while maintaining strong relationships across all stakeholders.
* Process Optimization: Drive team-wide improvements, implement new policies, and champion data quality and innovative working methods.
