A specialist independent college in Gloucestershire is seeking an experienced and inspirational Headteacher to lead its provision for young people aged 11-19 with complex learning needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Providing strategic leadership to ensure high-quality education and student outcomes.
* Developing and delivering a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum tailored to individual student needs.
* Leading and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Building strong relationships with parents, carers, local authorities, and external stakeholders.
* Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, welfare, and pastoral support.
The Candidate
We are looking for a dedicated leader with:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an SEN school or college.
* A strong understanding of SEMH needs and experience developing tailored educational pathways.
* The ability to lead, inspire, and implement a clear vision for the college’s future.
* A commitment to continuous improvement and innovative approaches to learning.
