Main duties of the job
As a Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh, seasonal ingredients to prepare high-quality meals for residents. You will assist the Head Chef in developing menus that are tailored to the preferences and dietary needs of the residents. The role also involves managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, maintaining stock control, and leading and motivating a team of kitchen staff.

As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus while working with residents to tailor menus around them. Qualifications
* You will need to hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, and have experience in helping lead and inspire a team. A good understanding of nutrition and experience working with fresh, seasonal food is also required. The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment and a good understanding of HACCP are also essential.
