Job Description Trent XWB Fleet Business Manager – 12 Month Maternity Cover Secondment Derby / Hybrid - 3 days on-site Full Time An opportunity has arisen for a 12 month maternity cover secondment as Fleet Business Manager in the Trent XWB Value Stream Contract Management Team. What you will be doing: With over 600 aircraft in service and a growing orderbook of 1300 aircraft, the Trent XWB Value Stream covers the full breadth of activity for both engines in service and in development and provides a unique opportunity to develop business breadth across the lifecycle of an engine. The Trent XWB family of engines play a pivotal role in delivering Rolls-Royce’s financial commitments across the five year plan and beyond with a focus on maximising full potential. This position, reporting to the Senior Vice President - Contract Management will be accountable for the delivery of the committed levels of aftermarket profit for the value stream across all long term service agreements whilst recognising customer satisfaction and operational priorities. This is achieved by identifying and managing opportunities and hazards to the Project business plan and working closely with the Customer Teams to optimise value to Rolls-Royce and improve overall margin. Responsibilities: Take overall ownership of the long-term service agreement Contract Review Packs (CRPs) to deliver the required business returns. Deliver value stream profit and cash in line with Budget (current year), Medium Term Plan (1-5 years) and whole product lifecycle for all engine types. Use business acumen alongside cost and revenue data with scenario planning tools to define, develop and maintain long-term strategies that optimise through-contract profit (e.g. commercial management, cost optimisation, revenue strategy) Integrate with the Product Cost Manager to prioritise appropriate action in minimising lifecycle cost. Develop new business and upsell opportunities including aircraft transfers & contract extensions with the Customer Team and provide value stream direction. Integrate with the value stream Finance team to ensure robust financial planning and forecasting measures are in place, and compliance with standard business review processes. Monitor and understand the levers affecting service business profitability (e.g. engine flying hours, stage length, derate, shop visits, warranties, guarantees) and manage actions required to address risks or deliver improvement opportunities. Manage any contractual and non-contractual risks whether customer or vendor that could impact value stream financial performance. Holistic business mindset with a focus on proactive drive and achieving ambitious outcomes. Familiarity with the business planning and contract review pack processes is beneficial.
