Travel Centre Team Leader £29,989 per annum – Grade 4 Bradford Full time / Permanent - 37 hours per week (4 week rota) Please note that the Combined Authority will consider requests for part-time working and/or job share. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Bradford Travel Centre as a Travel Centre Team Leader. In this role, you will lead a team of passionate Travel Centre Advisors, with direct responsibility for managing a team of five at Bradford and four at Halifax. Both Centres have recently undergone an exciting redevelopment, offering a modern and customer-focused environment. Although primarily based in Bradford, as Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations at both the Bradford and Halifax Travel Centres, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting the professional development of your team. You will work closely with various internal departments within the Combined Authority, including the Sales team, Bus Station Managers, Travel Inclusive team, Metro Line, and Customer Feedback team, to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the network. As part of a wider network of six Travel Centres across West Yorkshire, you will be part of a collaborative team providing vital support in the absence of other Team Leaders, helping to manage and assist with their responsibilities where necessary across the other Travel Centres. The Role Reporting into to the Travel Centre Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include: Ensure the efficient operation of the Travel Centre’s through ensuring a high level of customer service to the travelling public in line the Combined Authority’s Customer Care Policy. Ensure that the Travel Centre’s sell and/or issue prepaid tickets, passes and permits and issue passenger information in accordance with laid down procedures. About You You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience: Educated to A Level or hold equivalent relevant qualifications. Experience of prioritising, planning and organising workloads to manage expectations and deadlines. Experience of managing people including appraisals, performance management, disciplinary, recruitment and selection. Previous experience working within a retail environment and cash handling.
