The Production Operator I reports to the Production Manager/Supervisor. The job holder has the responsibility to operate the equipment and all of its affiliated processes (preparing raw materials & packaging, unloading, packing & labeling), in compliance with legal and company rules. Shift: Monday to Friday | 6 a.m. to 2 p.m
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of raw materials and packaging: identifying & preparing the right quantities and transporting them to the appropriate production area, reporting any deviation from normal, noting start and finish of process.
2. Operating processing equipment in line with process instructions and procedures.
3. Monitoring equipment, keeping processes running at desired run rates.
4. Completing the initial testing and release of products in order to ensure that there are no deviations to specifications.
5. Checking labels & packaging material, ensuring correct labeling following the existing rules and instructions.
6. Packaging the final products in accordance with instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards.
7. Carrying out all operations in compliance with the expected Quality Standards and Operating procedures of H.B. Fuller and respecting all legal and company EHS rules.
8. Responsible for housekeeping in his area of responsibility.
9. Carrying out any other duties requested from the Production Manager/Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Basic educational degree or High school diploma or general education diploma.
2. No prior experience required.
3. Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office).
4. Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures and instructions.
5. Availability to work in shifts.
Preferred Requirements:
1. 1 year experience in an industrial environment.
2. Understanding of basic English.
Physical Requirements:
1. Required to stand for long periods of time.
2. Walk and climb stairs.
3. Use hands to remove or lift boxes.
4. Stretch and reach with arms extended.
5. Stoop and bend.
6. Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
7. Temperature, dust, smell, and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions.
