As our new Factory Training & Continuous Improvement Officer, you will have the opportunity to work on and ensure that training metric /plans are maintained and up to date, training is developed and the transference of knowledge, skills and best practice is done effectively.
In this role you will take ownership of and ensure the design and documentation of operating procedures is done in a timely manner & approved by the relevant department.
Another exciting part of your role as a Factory Training & Continuous Improvement Officer will be the chance to support the Continuous Improvement & Training Supervisor on complex projects, as well as gather quantitative data, analyse and provide feedback of your findings.
Main responsibilities:
Support the induction of new employees to the company and /or new factory processes.
Training all new starters to become competent production operatives.
Support specific H&S training in-conjunction with H&S Dept.
Update and maintain skills / training matrix.
Sign off individual training records corresponding to the skills matrix.
Design and write operating procedures in a timely manner, train out and record, as required.
Manage Operating procedures, work instructions, OPL and rationalising as necessary, in line with record retention policies and best practice.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training (Kirkpatrick model).
Coach and train existing staff in best production practices and simple lean principles · Support Shift managers in the re-training / upskilling of production operatives as required.Ideally you will have experience within an training environment, and hold excellent written, design and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills as well as effective time management and organisational skills.
Good experience in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word), as well as previous experience in putting together and delivering presentations would be ideal.
