Job Title: Electronic Tester
Location: St. Neots
Salary: £13 per hour (Temp to Perm)
Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm (Monday to Thursday), 7:30am - 1:00pm (Friday)
Job Purpose
Performs setup, calibration, and testing of components, assembled printed circuit boards, and electro-mechanical assemblies using standard test equipment and customer-provided inline testing solutions. Initially responsible for volume testing of manufactured items, identifying failed assemblies for debugging, completing test reports, and processing work-in-progress through manufacturing systems.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Set up test equipment and jigs for in-circuit and full functional testing of PCBAs and complete products.
2. Test PCBAs and electronic products according to test procedures, recording results accordingly.
3. Pass assemblies only if they meet specifications and test limits.
4. Ensure testing aligns with production schedules to meet deadlines.
5. Notify management of potential delays or significant issues with products under test.
6. Assist with fault finding and debugging of faulty electronic assemblies with technicians.
7. Maintain records of test times and fault data in databases.
8. Suggest improvements to testing processes to increase efficiency.
9. Seek assistance when necessary to resolve testing problems.
10. Apply commercial awareness to balance repair value against testing time.
11. Follow established procedures within the test department.

14. Report quality issues or defects for corrective action.
15. Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
1. Experience in a target-driven manufacturing environment is desirable.
2. Experience in testing manufactured items is desirable.
3. IPC-610 and IPC 7711/21 certification is desirable.
4. Highly attentive, self-motivated problem solver.
5. Proficient in MS Office and PC literacy.
