Hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.15pm (1 hour lunch)
Weekly & Monthly payroll - duties will include but not limited to:
* Prepare and run weekly and monthly payrolls
* Ensure all necessary returns are made to HMRC within the deadlines
* Prepare and post journals in the accounting software system
* Check the payroll information supplied by managers
* Answer payroll queries for employees as required
* Ad-hoc duties
* Ensure that employees of the company are legally entitled to work for the company and correctly set up
* Prepare national statistics forms on a monthly basis
* Provide information for the year-end audit
* Ensure that payments due to HMRC are made within the deadlines
* Monitor and calculate SMP/SAP/SSP
* Prepare BACS runs and process them
* Raise cheques where required
* Monitor and calculate holiday pay
* Process bonuses and other one-off payments
* Process the quarterly BACS dividend payments
* Ensure that relevant payroll deductions are made (e.g., Pensions, CSA, BUPA)
* Ensure that the correct amount of tax and national insurance is deducted from all individuals
* Provide assistance to the accounts department as required
* Overtime may be necessary on occasion in order to meet processing deadlines
* Scan and accurately attach relevant documents to the payroll/HR records
* Must have experience in Earnie Payroll
