QTS Qualified Teachers Required at an SEN School in Surrey - Apply Now!\n\nHave you a passion for teaching children and young people with special needs?\n\nAre you qualified with some experience of SEN?\n\nDo you drive?\n\nIf so, this could be the ideal role for you?\n\nWe are working closely with a Special Educational Needs School for children\naged 4-19 years old with autism. They have provision for 80 pupils and are\ngraded Outstanding by Ofsted. The school supports pupils on a 1:1 basis within\nsmall classes (3-6 pupils per class).\n\nThe School uses the approach of ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) to teaching\nwhereby each pupil has an individualised curriculum that is tailored to their\nneeds, pupils progress is encouraged via positive reinforcement (praise,\nreward) and breaking tasks down into manageable steps and then monitored by\ntaking data and frequently graphing this to track trends.
Their structure is\nset up so that they have teachers (this role) per pupil in each class, a Lead\nTeacher and a Supervisor.\n\nWe are helping them recruit for SEN Teachers to join the school. The role\nincorporates, lesson planning, teaching, break and lunchtime support, personal\ncare, supporting off site trips, assistance with pupils therapy sessions,\nbehaviour management and much more! Staff have access to extensive funded\ntraining and qualification opportunities which I think is a main area that\nsets this school aside from others.
All staff are encouraged to, and have the\nopportunity to, work through the schools ABA training whereby they can\ncomplete CABAS Teaching ranks and gain nationally recognised accreditation\nspecific to the field of ABA. There is also the opportunity to do the\nRegistered Behaviour Technician (RBT) qualification and a Masters in ABA.\n\nThis role would be ideal for someone who has QTS and who is experience of\nworking with children or adults and special educational needs such as a\nTeacher, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Nursery Nurse,\nBehaviour Support Assistant, ABA Tutor, Early Years Practitioner, Support\nWorker, Care Assistant etc.\n\nSuccessful candidates will be awarded a £1,000 joining bonus (subject to\nconditionsdeductions), paid in their first months salary.\n\nPlease note that we are only able to accept full time hours for this role:\n09:00am - 4:30pm and till 5:30pm on a Tuesday when staff meetings and training\nare held. This role is term time only so candidates will have school holidays\n(approx.
9 weeks) - please note that this schools holidays are slightly\nshorter than other settings e.g. 4 weeks in summer instead of 6 etc. Please\nalso note that this role requires candidates to have a grade C in both Maths &\nEnglish Language GSCE or equivalent (e.g.
functional skills level 2 or higher\nqualification such as a relevant degree etc).\n\nThis setting is for children who have complex needs and severe cases of\nautism, therefore support with managing challenging behaviour (can be physical\n- hair pulling, hitting, kicking etc) and personal care (toileting etc) will\nbe required.\n\nThe assessment process for this role begins with submission of a completed\napplication form.
