Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our OT rotations at Queen Alexandra Hospital. We work in a fast-paced acute hospital environment, providing high-quality care across a variety of specialties, including Acute Medical and Neurological. Our rotational program offers diverse clinical exposure and supports professional growth through a range of specialist areas. We would consider Band 5 applicants in a development role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality, patient-centred care in an acute hospital setting across various rotations.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans to enable patients to achieve their maximum level of independence.
* Participate in discharge planning, including complex discharges and liaising with community services to ensure safe and effective transitions of care.
* To have strong clinical reasoning skills with the ability to manage a caseload independently.
* To have the ability to adapt quickly to different specialties and manage the challenges of working in a busy hospital environment.
* Support and supervise Band 5 Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants, and students.
* Contribute to service development initiatives, audits, and quality improvement projects.
* Demonstrated commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
