The Additional Learning Support Team at Buxton and Leek College is seeking a SEND Administration Assistant to join our exceptional staff. Buxton & Leek College is seeking a highly organised and discreet individual to provide top-tier confidential support to our Transition Manager. This role is crucial in managing diaries, producing reports, minuting meetings, and ensuring seamless operations for the Additional Learning Support/High Needs Team.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include coordinating meetings, handling sensitive communications, and maintaining meticulous records in line with the SEN Code of Practice. The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safeguarding policies. You will assist in coordinating and minuting meetings, maintaining calendars, and organising documentation, work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals, and develop a thorough understanding of SEND processes and contribute to the improvement of administrative workflows.
About You
This role demands excellent IT and organisational skills, a commitment to SEND, and the ability to clearly communicate with stakeholders. The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure is essential.
The successful candidate should have recent and relevant experience in an administrative role and a customer service environment. A minimum of GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4-9, A-C (or equivalent) is required.
