Casual Waiting/Retail/Hospitality Staff - Bath Are you passionate about providing exceptional service and looking for a dynamic, fast-paced working environment? Bath Racecourse is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Casual Bar, Waiting, and Hospitality Staff. With a vast variety of exciting events throughout the season, including featured race days and private functions, this is a unique opportunity to be right in the heart of the action. We are also looking for experienced individuals who can take up the responsibility of Managing the front/back of house of a restaurant, or a Bar Supervisor. The pay rate for a Manager/Supervisor is very competitive. You could be working in any of our luxurious restaurants and private suites, helping us create those special memories for guests. You will be an integral part of the team, helping the wider group achieve our goals. You must be of the school leavers age to apply for this position If successful, you will be offered shifts for all of our Race days next season, starting in April. Please note, we do not just host horse racing. Shifts will be made available for Weddings, Christmas parties, Proms, and other private functions Please note, additional shifts will be available outside of these dates for prep days and events, however this is primarily a casual race day position. We may also offer additional shifts at some of our other sites. Experience is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided. What you will be doing: Bar Staff: Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, maintain a clean and organised bar area and ensure all transactions are handled efficiently. Waiting Staff: Provide exceptional table service, take orders accurately, serve food and drinks, and attend to guests' needs throughout their stay. Hospitality Staff: Assist in VIP areas of the racecourse, private boxes and hospitality suites, and ensure an exceptional experience for all guests. Advise guests on all products available within the venue. Promote a friendly and welcoming environment. Ensure that your area of work is adequately stocked with glassware, ice, condiments and other appropriate sundries. Prepare and lay up restaurants/boxes for service. Keeping your area of work and public areas clean and tidy before, during and after opening hours - adhering to Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines. Ensure orders are dispensed, correctly recorded, and authorised for billing purposes. Ensure orders are processed through the tills in line with prescribed Racecourse procedures. Handle cash, stock and equipment in a secure manner. What we're looking for: Experience is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided. Friendly, approachable attitude with a passion for customer service. Able to work under pressure and as part of a team. Flexibility: You would ideally be available to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and during key race day events. Punctuality, reliability, and a neat appearance are crucial. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to handle difficult or conflict situations. And for you: Competitive hourly wage. Lunches and meals provided on a race day.
