Job Title: Locum Dietitian Banding: Band 6/7 Location: Merthyr Tydfil Working Hours: Full-time Duration: Ongoing Rate: £25-34 per hour Opening Paragraph: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6/7 Locum Dietitian to join our team at Keir Hardie University Health Park in Merthyr Tydfil. The post holder will lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of a family-based healthy lifestyle programme within Merthyr Tydfil. This role requires immediate availability and involves working closely with multi-agency staff to improve family outcomes through supporting healthy lifestyle behaviours. Responsibilities: As a Band 6/7 Locum Dietitian, you will be responsible for training and supporting multi-agency staff to deliver a range of family interventions focused on food and nutrition, active play, physical activity, and wider parenting skills. You will communicate complex and sensitive information to clients, overcoming barriers to understanding and engagement. This role requires excellent tact, diplomacy, negotiation, motivation, and persuasion skills. You will work closely with partner agencies and report to a multi-disciplinary steering group, mapping current service provision and community assets to support a whole system approach to tackling childhood obesity.
