Winchburgh Academy is a new state-of-the-art secondary school which opened in August 2022, designed to ensure twenty first century learning, immersed in creativity and digital technologies. The school also has sports facilities of the highest standard and includes sports halls, a 25m swimming pool and artificial grass outdoor pitches. Initially, the school opened with a S1 cohort and the roll is anticipated to rise year on year to reach its 660-pupil initial capacity by 2028. The school roll is anticipated to be 200 students (S1-S3) in August 2024. A future expansion strategy has been considered beyond this, potentially increasing the school roll up to a maximum capacity of 1,210 pupils.
