To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for an Audit & Accounts Trainee to join our Sutton Compliance team. This position also includes a comprehensive induction and full funding to pursue professional qualifications. The Role This is a trainee position which includes full training and support in order to develop your skills and abilities for a long-term career within our practice. Whilst you will have a mixture of both audit and accounts work, the position will be primarily accounts focused. Your key responsibilities will include: Building productive working relationships within Shaw Gibbs and with clients as required Developing and applying your technical knowledge through on the job training and formal qualifications Using accounting software to provide accurate reporting for Managers, Partners and clients Producing profit and loss accounts and balance sheets Preparing basic tax computations and returns e.g. corporation tax Preparing working papers including bank reconciliations, other reconciliations and manual control accounts Helping to prepare statutory accounts and finalise accounts under the overall supervision of your Manager Assisting more senior members of staff on audit to include, for example, checking bank reconciliations, attending at stock takes, preparing profit and loss schedules and assisting with the audit of debtors and creditors What we can offer you Full funding and support to study AAT/ACCA qualification, including study leave and time off for exams Hybrid and flexible working A varied role in a talented and experienced team Joining a company with an exciting growth plan ahead Plenty of opportunities to increase your technical knowledge and skills Exposure to a wide range of clients across many industry sectors An experienced manager to support your development and provide day to day guidance A comprehensive induction and buddy to help you get up to speed in your first few months Competitive salary and benefits package including pension, life assurance, health cash plan, retail discount scheme, electric vehicles salary sacrifice, and cycle to work scheme.
