Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our private practice, specialising in ADHD and ASD assessments and related therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for children, adolescents, and adults with suspected ADHD and ASD, as well as offer general psychological services to private clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis:
* Conduct comprehensive ASD, LD, and ADHD psychological assessments using interviews and psychometric tests for individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults.
* Administer and interpret standardized psychological tests, rating scales, and clinical interviews.
* Collaborate with clients, families, schools, and healthcare professionals to gather relevant information for accurate diagnosis.
Diagnostic Reports & Feedback:
* Prepare detailed, evidence-based diagnostic reports outlining assessment findings, diagnosis (if applicable), and recommended interventions.
* Provide feedback to clients and their families, explaining the results of assessments in a clear and accessible manner.
* Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
Therapeutic Interventions:
* Offer individual therapy and counselling services for clients diagnosed, as well as those with related conditions such as anxiety, depression, and learning difficulties.
* Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focusing on behavioural management, coping strategies, and emotional support.
* Provide psychoeducation to clients and families, including behavioural strategies and emotional regulation techniques.
Private Practice Services:
* Provide general psychological assessments and therapy for private clients with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related conditions.
* Offer tailored interventions for clients seeking support with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all client interactions.
Collaboration & Consultation:
* Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, paediatricians, educators, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
* Participate in case reviews and consultations with colleagues to ensure best practices in diagnosis and treatment.
Record-Keeping & Documentation:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards.
* Document assessment results, treatment plans, and therapy progress in a timely and organized manner.
