We have an exciting opportunity for an entry level Paralegal to work with a team of specialist housing and property damage lawyers, to be based in our Liverpool office. The team forms part of our national Property Damage offering. This role will suit a fee-earner who would like to specialise in housing, property damage, and insurance work in the future. The team is a specialist in its field and is renowned in the industry for being at the forefront of developments in the social housing arena. The right candidate will need to be comfortable negotiating settlements on behalf of our client, providing advice and assessing/reviewing damages. Alongside managing your own caseload, you can gain further exposure to higher value claims by assisting the team with the more complex housing, insurance, and property damage matters (both pre-litigation and litigated matters).
For this role the ability to analyse and evaluate information logically, good communication skills and the ability to relate well to clients and staff is important. Attention to detail, good organisational skills and communication skills are a necessity. In terms of experience, this is an entry level role. Experience as a fee-earner working in a busy law firm and experience of housing work (including disrepair and housing management) and/or property damage work is preferable, but not essential, as training will be provided. In return, you will benefit from being part of an organisation that is genuinely committed to its people. Within our friendly department you will have access to a range of learning and development opportunities designed to support your ongoing progression.
