Role Overview
The Project Manager will drive and manage the new products and service-related Research & Development (R&D) projects; taking leadership of a project team to ensure new developments are launched on-time, on-budget and within scope.
The post-holder will have the opportunity to collaborate closely and actively with technical teams, portfolio managers, supply chain, sales and marketing, engineering, and other stakeholders, globally.
Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On…
1. Engaging stakeholders to identify project scope and communicating requirements to project teams
2. Initiating projects in agreement with the Product & Portfolio Managers concerning the project targets and overall boundaries
3. Working closely with Technical leads, Commercial Leads and Resource Owners to establish robust, realistic and executable project plans in Microsoft Project Online
4. Managing the projects throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) and stage gate process
5. Ensuring business success and customer satisfaction through professional stakeholder management and managing an effective communication plan to report project status and forecast
6. Representing projects in all review meetings, negotiating resource requirements and project priority; acting as an entrepreneur throughout the project execution through proactive identification of opportunities or hurdles and ensuring timely decisions on open issues while escalating if necessary
7. Balancing project scope through Change request Management and managing risk by devising suitable strategies for risk mitigation based on knowledge of business risk appetites
Your Previous Experience Is Likely To Include…
1. A qualification in engineering, project management or equivalent
2. Project management experience or a combination of project management and relevant technical lead/equivalent work
3. Leading or working within varied project environments, including lean, waterfall and agile methods
4. Utilising project management and financial management tools and software
5. Change management and risk mitigation
