Description
The Personal Injury Claims Handler will be:
* Managing a portfolio of defendant public liability claims from inception to resolution
* Assessing liability and quantum, and formulating appropriate strategies for claim resolution
* Liaising with claimants, solicitors, and other stakeholders to negotiate settlements
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the claims process
* Providing advice and guidance to internal departments on claims-related matters
* Identifying trends and potential risk exposures to inform risk management strategies
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims handling process
Profile
The Personal Injury Claims Handler should be:
* An experienced claims handler with a minimum of 2 years' experience in managing personal injury claims (not motor claims)
* Experience in property damage claims however full training will be provided
* Proficient in assessing liability and quantum, with strong negotiation skills
* Familiar with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
* An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively
* IT literate, with experience using claims management systems and Microsoft Office
