Job Title: Finance Clerk

You’ll manage day-to-day accounting tasks, ensure accuracy in financial records, and provide administrative support to our team. Salary: £26,000 (pro rata)

Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, invoices, process VAT returns, bookkeeping, and prepare financial reports.
* Payroll: Manage payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
* Budgeting Assistance: Support in tracking expenses and assisting in budget preparation.
* Keep on top of employee expenditure via Pleo, Hubdoc, and Xero.
* Invoicing & Billing: Create client invoicing, monitor payments, and follow up on overdue accounts in Xero, paying invoices for business expenses.
* General Administration: Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and maintaining financial documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
* Proven experience in finance, accountancy, and VAT management.
* Technical Skills: Previous experience in the use of accountancy software.
* Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
* Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
* Team Player: Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate in a small, close-knit team.
* Discretion: High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Desirable:
* Experience in financial forecasting and budgeting.
* Technical Skills: AAT or part CIMA/ACCA qualified with relevant accounting experience. Experience using Xero, Hub Doc, and Zettle.
