Technical Services Manager : City of London : GBP 80K

Hours :Monday to Friday Days 8AM : 5PM
An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of my clients who are looking for an Engineering Manager on a Critical Site based in City of London. A Technical Services Manager is required to lead the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance to a Prestigious Site in the City of London. Preferably electrically biased, you will manage a team of supervisors and engineers to ensure service level agreements and key performance indicators are being met and that compliance and health and safety indicators meet and exceed the clients expectations. You will also provide technical support and act as the point of contact for the client on:site.
Duties will include:
: Manage the day:to:day engineering maintenance across client sites using in house team and external contractors.
: Maintain all electrical and mechanical plant and services to appropriate industry standards.
: Co:ordinate and supervise all contractor hard service activities, including Risk assessments, Method statements and insuring QHSE Permitting is always upheld .
: Supervises specialist contractors during service visits as and when required.
: To liaise with the Client and UK Technical Ops Lead in relation to the planning and organisation of works that may affect the normal business activities of the sites.
: Maintain relationships with key Stakeholders and give regular updates with regards to ongoing site maintenance issues.
: Proficient in managing costs relating to delivery of maintenance activities at client site location.
: Technical awareness of computer rooms/critical environments and knowledge of UPS, Chiller Plant, CHP, PDU's, Gen Sets etc.
: Work with UKI Technical Operations Lead to identify replacements and obtain quotations relating to the Asset Life Cycle Management Plan.
: Provide technical management reports as and when required.
: Participate in emergency response escalation process as directed by UK Technical Ops Lead.
: Escalate urgent issues identified through to the UK Technical Services Lead.
: Support cost:effective procurement of engineering maintenance services and operate within annual engineering budgets for maintenance and repair of these services..
: Fully understand the operational protocols associated with alarm conditions and auxiliary back:up system capabilities.
: Manage all technical training requirements including competency assessments, critical services training and scenario training exercises
: Ensure that financial processes are always adhered to and attend monthly commercial reviews
Requirements:
: Excellent knowledge of the operation and maintenance of Mechanical and Electrical services and plant.
: Ability to interrogate and operate BMS systems
: Knowledge of current technical standards in relation to Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, Electrical Services, A/C and Water Systems Treatment.
: Knowledge of business:critical services i.e. UPS and Comms Rooms etc.
: Working in a "services supply partnership"
: Formulating, Assessing and Validating Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
: A minimum of City and Guilds in Electrical Installation.
: LV or HVAP
: 18th Edition IEE Regs
: Permit to Work
: IOSH Managing Safely
