Duration: Full Time, permanent
Salary: £11.50 Per hour (35 hours a week- contracted)
Social Care & Education are seeking a fun, energetic, and compassionate Support Worker to provide dedicated 2:1 assistance to a vibrant young adult. The primary focus of the role is to support and engage our resident in daily activities, and to promote independence, well-being, and personal growth.
The Role
• Provide assistance with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and household management to encourage self-sufficiency.
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages the resident to develop life skills and make independent choices.
• Plan and participate in community outings and recreational activities.
• Build a trusting and positive relationship with the service user, ensuring effective communication with the wider support team.
• Administer medication and provide appropriate support in line with care plans.
• Support the service user with appointments when required.
• Provide guidance and support in managing personal finances.
The Requirements
• Be enthusiastic about developing new skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and able to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
• Experience working with service users that have autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
• Willingness to work nights
