Job overview
An opportunity has arisen to recruit a senior practitioner in one of our integrated Manchester Community Mental Health Teams, South Manchester Later Life Community Mental Health Team based at Etrop Court, South Manchester.
The individual would be a motivated and enthusiastic team member, providing support to the team manager, including performance management and staff support. They will also stand in for the team manager in their absence.
We are looking for someone passionate about later life services and the development of both staff and the service, who genuinely wants to make a difference in the lives of service users and the staff providing care. In return, we will provide regular supervision and support for clinical and personal development.
Main duties of the job
1. Support the team manager with the day-to-day operational management of the team, ensuring delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality service to service users with mental health needs.
2. Participate as a member of the Services Management Team in the overall management of community-based secondary mental health services.
3. Participate in the service bronze on-call rota as required.
4. Foster a caring and supportive team environment, valuing each member's role.
5. Promote the wider trust values of caring, compassion, and respect.
Person specification
* Understanding of older adult services
* Minimum 2 years' experience of working within mental health services
* Experience in service improvement
Knowledge and skills
* Good understanding of teamwork and effective management
* Experience in conflict resolution
