We have an excellent opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a highly regarded tier 1 main contractor based in Hampshire. The business operates across several sectors including education, commercial, defence and leisure with projects typically valuing up to £50mil. The business has built a reputation for producing some of the most talented construction professionals and has an ethos of delivering excellence.
About this Managing Quantity Surveyor role:
As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be working as Commercial Lead on an upcoming project near Salisbury valuing circa £50mil. You will be responsible for the project from pre-construction through to final account and will have a team of Surveyors reporting into you. You will be reporting into a highly experienced Area Commercial Director.
Key Responsibilities as Managing Quantity Surveyor:
* Lead the project through the pre-construction phase
* Oversee all procurement of sub-contract packages
* Collate monthly CVRs to report internally
* Oversee 4 Surveyors of differing experience
* Liaise with the client and client representatives throughout
* Oversee the commercial team monitoring performance and provide support and guidance
Key Requirements as Managing Quantity Surveyor:
* Have a proven track record of delivering schemes valuing circa £30mil.
* Be proficient in administering JCT and NEC forms of contract
* Have managed projects through the whole project life cycle from pre-construction through to final account
* Live and be happy to commute to office and site as and when required
* Have the full right to work in the UK
