Job Title: SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time
Are you a graduate with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in a rewarding and fulfilling role before pursuing a career in teaching, psychology, or education?
This SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) role in Lincoln offers the perfect opportunity to work closely with students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with SEN needs in a 1:1 or small group setting.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
* Help students develop confidence, communication, and independence.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to enhance learning outcomes.
Requirements:
* A graduate in education, psychology, special education, or a related field.
* Previous experience working with children with SEN.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
