Waste Services Work Experience Programme - New for 2025 Temporary, Full Time Unpaid Work Experience Location: Chelmsford Working Style: Fixed-base worker Closing Date: Sunday 2nd February Waste Services Work Experience Week New for 2025, we have 15 places available for our week-long work experience programme within our Waste Services team. The programme has been designed with you in mind, you will gain hands on experience in our three key areas: Driving, Waste Transfer (including weighbridge and plant operation) and Recycling, whilst developing your skills and experience. As part of the week, you will work with our experienced colleagues who will support and show you the ropes for each of our areas. As well as this, you will attend workshops with our award-winning Entry to Work team, who will work with you to build your CV, demonstrate interview techniques and give you ways to be confident in yourself with interviews What's great about our Waste Services Work Experience Week is that you will be interviewed by our Area Managers at the end week - allowing you to show them what you have learnt Even better than that, is that if we have available vacancies, we will discuss these with you too What you need to know: Location: Chelmsford sites (CM2 5PD and CM2 5PP), so you must be able to travel to these. Date: 17 th March to 21 st March 2025 Times: 9.30am to 4.00pm (with a 1 hour lunch break) What we're looking for from you: Ability to work on foot for lengthy periods of time. Comfortable to work in all-weather conditions. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to complete manual handling tasks. Ability to complete basic reading and writing tasks.
