Job Summary: We are seeking compassionate and reliable Male Carers with a valid UK driving license to join our team. The role involves providing person-centred care and support to service users, ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being. As a Male Carer, you will assist with personal care, mobility, medication, and community access while promoting independence and quality of life. The driving requirement is essential for assisting service users with appointments, activities, and community access. Key Responsibilities:1. Care and Support Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans. Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming. Support with mobility and safe use of mobility aids. Administer medication following training and company policies. 2. Transport and Community Access Drive service users to medical appointments, social activities, and outings using company vehicles or their own car (if applicable). Ensure the safety and comfort of service users during transport. Promote social inclusion and independence by supporting community activities. 3. Record-Keeping and Reporting Maintain accurate records, including care notes, daily logs, and medication records. Report any changes in service users’ conditions or incidents to senior staff. 4. Health and Safety Ensure a safe environment for service users by following health and safety guidelines. Assist with risk assessments and safeguarding procedures. Qualifications and Experience:Essential: Valid UK driving license (manual or automatic). Experience in a care environment (or willingness to undergo training). Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings. Desirable: Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or willingness to complete). First aid, medication administration, and manual handling training. Experience working with adults with learning disabilities, dementia, or physical disabilities. Personal Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and empathetic.
