Regional Wine Account Manager - Northeast - Up to £45,000
Our client, a known wine distributor, is looking for a Regional Account Manager to cover the North/North-East market.
As Regional Wine Account Manager, you will be tasked with achieving/exceeding annual targets by maintaining existing accounts and opening new accounts that fit the turnover and profitability criteria set out by the company.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:
1. Achieve or exceed the annual sales and net contribution budgets.
2. Work closely with the Sales Manager to develop business with key prospects.
3. Maintain an active prospect list, ensuring that new accounts opened are of suitable size and profitability.
4. Ensure that your product knowledge is sufficient to converse comfortably with customers and prospects at all levels.
5. Commit to key supplier targets for their most important brands and liaise with the Marketing team and brand managers on any Agency-driven issues.
6. Keep yourself up to date regarding vintage changes, out of stock situations, and major new listings and de-listings.
7. Manage your time carefully and develop a calling plan that ensures regular visits to your most important customers while leaving ample time for prospecting.
8. Communicate efficiently and in a timely fashion with all Company departments.
9. Liaise with the Credit Control department to ensure that all accounts are kept within our trading terms.
10. Make full use of any promotional activity arranged by the Company.
11. Prepare adequately for visits from suppliers and maximize the time invested by them.
12. Comply with the Company's procedures in all respects.
13. Attend and represent the company at Regional and National events, promoting the best possible impression of the company.
14. Host wine dinners and events to promote sales and raise the company profile across the region.
15. Work within agreed expense budgets (including samples) and ensure that all expenditure is carefully planned and controlled.
16. Submit any requested regular or ad hoc reports within an agreed timeframe.
Requirements:
1. Driving licence
2. WSET qualified ideally to diploma level or equivalent
3. 2 years'+ experience of sales growth and account management within the wine industry
4. Experience of selling to on-trade and independent off-trade channels desirable
