Job Description
The main purpose of the Treasury Assistant role is to provide support in respect of the management of all cash related tasks across Valeo Foods UK.
* Processing ad-hoc payments and matching these to the ledgers on a timely basis.
* Reconcile the bank deposits and payments daily for all accounts and oversee daily cashbook reporting of all bank accounts.
* Produce weekly bank reconciliations, for the Treasury Accountant’s review.
* Provide monthly reconciliations for their assigned bank accounts and petty cash in line with our month end process.
* Process cash and credit card expenses.
* Understand and become a super user in our expenses process, providing training where required and being able to answer queries from staff members.
* Support the Treasury Accountant with the completion of cashflows and forecasting as appropriate.
* Act as cover for the weekly Factoring process.
* Help implement new processes, controls and best practice as the Treasury function continues to grow.
Qualifications
* To be well organised in your workflow and to be able to prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met.
* Strong communication skills.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
* At least 1 year’s finance experience.
* Knowledge of SAGE 1000/IFS (desirable but not essential).
