We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior TechOps Engineer to adopt into DevOps and Agile philosophies within the Microlise group. Your key responsibilities will be to implement, maintain and upgrade the Microlise Managed Service / Hosted Product and Infrastructure, providing essential skills and advice to other areas of the business. This is a broad role, where you will have the opportunity to work with Architects and Engineers within our 150 strong development team, whilst supporting the TechOps Manager and wider TechOps team! What you will be doing: Administer and maintain information control systems supporting the Managed / Hosted services utilised within Microlise Coordinate with Development and other departments to ensure these systems and records remain accurate and available Implement, configure, maintain and upgrade Managed Service IT systems Analyse, diagnose and rectify system or service errors/faults as tasked or expected Complete “dry run” testing prior to implementation work and ensure “roll back” functionality Provide telephone or other, technical support to customers as required Work with vendors to ensure systems are performing optimally Act as a medium for effective knowledge transfer between all parties, both internal and external Update and maintain information used in upward reporting and analysis Automatic enrolment to the Tech Ops on-call rota What we are looking for: Demonstrable experience within in a TechOps/DevOps support role Experience working within a software-based environment or alongside development focused teams In-depth understanding of networks, IP, and IT environments Demonstrable experience supporting high-capacity, high-availability, business-critical applications, and services Positive attitude and able to manage workload with changing priorities Service Now experience and Agile Project methodology would be advantageous We are looking for technical skills such as: Microsoft Windows 2016/2019 qualification Ubuntu/CentOS qualification Network Essentials/CCNA qualification DNS Configuration / Administration Hyper-V Virtualisation Windows Admin Centre IBM V7000 Storage exposure Automation Technologies (Powershell / Ansible / Bash etc) Internet Information Services F5 Load Balancers System Monitoring Solarwinds Kibana Grafana Elastic Pingdom Why Microlise?
