Job Description
The Credit Controller will:
* Effective management of credit limits
* Responsible for timely collection of customer payments
* Investigate held orders that require manual release
* Reconciliation of customer accounts
* Keeping accurate history notes on customer's accounts
* Liaising with internal and external customers
* Query resolution
* Cover with allocation of payments during holidays / sickness
* Review new accounts set up by Sales
* Inform the Credit Manager of any potential Bad Debt
* Cover the Credit Manager in their absence
The Successful Applicant
The Credit Controller will be/have:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Knowledge of Credit Control processes and reporting
* Experience with accounting systems
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
* Good organisation and time management skills
* Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
* Willingness to phone and speak directly to customers
* Ability to work under own initiative and be proactive
* To be able to build effective working relationships at all levels
* Be immediately available/on short notice
