Location: County Durham
Pay: GBP 40,000 : GBP 47,000 OTE + Benefits
Shift: Monday to Friday 7.30 am :4.30 pm

My client are a well:established and growing HGV Recovery, Plant Recovery, Commercial Vehicle Repairs and Servicing company covering the North of England.
They are committed to providing top:tier vehicle maintenance services and ensuring that our fleet and our clients fleets run smoothly.
They are now looking for a skilled and motivated HGV Mechanic to join their team and help them maintain and repair a wide range of heavy goods vehicles.
About your new HGV Technician role:
As an HGV Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our fleet.
You will be responsible for the repair, servicing, and maintenance of HGVs, including diagnostic testing, fault finding, and carrying out necessary repairs to keep vehicles on the road.
Your main duties will include maintenance, servicing and repair of customers vehicles plus our own vehicles up to MOT standard. You will be working as part of small team in a well:equipped workshop including a Brake Tester.
: Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of HGV vehicles.
: Diagnose faults and carry out corrective repairs.
: Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
: Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on jobs.
: Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation and minimal downtime.
: Ensure workshop cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
: Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers regarding work progress.
Requirements:
: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (HGV) or time served.
: Proven experience working on HGVs.
: Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and systems.
: Ability to work independently or as part of a team
: Class 1 (C+E) license would be an advantage
