Quantity Surveyor (Historic Property Renovation)
Location: Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire
Salary: £50,000 per year + Car Allowance + Bonus

Role Description:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing costs, contracts, and financial aspects of historic property renovation projects. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality restoration work.
Responsibilities:
1. Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and other project expenses.
2. Contract Management: Administer contracts, handle variations, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
3. Budget Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
4. Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to achieve project goals.
6. Historic Preservation: Understand the unique challenges of working with historic structures and materials.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in historic property renovation.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost estimation software, contract management tools, and Excel.
4. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Attention to Detail: Meticulous in analyzing data and managing project finances.
6. Driving License: A valid driving license is essential due to site visits.
