Job Title: Construction and Commission Engineer (Subsea and Renewable Asset Installation & Intervention Equipment)
Job Overview: Construction and Commission Engineers will drive the commissioning and testing processes and will work in collaboration with the design, fabrication, and project management teams. Typical equipment includes offshore wind turbine foundation deployment systems, ploughs, deck spreads, and walk-to-work systems, each system being unique and complex.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Management:
1. Develop detailed project plans and schedules.
2. Develop commissioning plans and procedures for complex equipment design, build, and operation in conjunction with others.
3. Coordinate with project managers, clients, and others.
2. Installation and Commissioning:
1. Supervise the installation of subsea and renewable energy equipment.
2. Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
3. Perform system testing and troubleshooting.
3. Technical Support:
1. Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team.
2. Develop and review technical documentation, including procedures and reports.
3. Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
1. Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
2. Prepare and present progress reports.
3. Facilitate effective communication among project team members.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or related field) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
2. Experience:
1. Proven experience in subsea and renewable energy projects.
2. Familiarity with offshore construction and commissioning processes.
3. Skills:
1. Strong project management and organizational skills.
2. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
3. Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
Work Environment:
1. Location:
1. North East England.
2. Offshore and onshore sites, depending on project requirements.
3. Travel to various project locations may be required.
2. Conditions:
1. Work in challenging environments, including offshore and renewable energy fabrication sites.
2. Adherence to strict safety protocols and procedures.
