Job Title: Live Here Love Here Manager
Employed by: Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful
Reporting to: Head of Operations
Hours of Business: 4- Day working Week. Flexible business hours 8am - 6pm. Core hours 10am - 4pm Hybrid working policy (2 days in Belfast office per week)
Location: Home/Belfast-Office based. With a regular requirement to travel NI-wide
You must hold a permit to work in UK/NI if you do not live in the UK.
Salary: £34,072
Contract type: Permanent post, subject to funding

Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful is a charity working towards the vision of a world where people and nature thrive, by running environmental-education programmes and awareness-raising campaigns, increasing volunteering opportunities, and reporting on local environmental quality. Programmes include the national civic-pride campaign Live Here Love Here, Tackling Plastic NI, Tackling Textiles, Carbon Literacy training, environmental education programme, Eco-Schools NI, and local environmental quality programmes, such as Blue Flag Award, Seaside Award, Green Flag Award, Cleaner Neighbourhoods, and Marine Litter surveys.
Job Purpose:
To facilitate environmental action and civic pride across Northern Ireland through Live Here Love Here programmes leading to improved local environmental quality, health, and social wellbeing. Specific responsibility for managing public engagement and volunteer campaigns resulting in measurable behaviour change.
About the Role
Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful seeks to appoint an outstanding dynamic individual to manage and grow the Live Here Love Here programme, which includes public engagement and grant-making.
Live Here Love Here results in higher levels of pro-environmental actions, improved health and wellbeing, and better-quality natural environments. Live Here Love Here incorporates, but is not limited to, campaigns such as The BIG Spring Clean, the Small Grants Scheme, Adopt A Spot, and Healthy Ocean Healthy Minds.
The jobholder also plays a role in awareness raising through direct engagement events and supporting LHLH media campaigns. The post-holder will relish the challenge of widening the Live Here Love Here partnership across the public and private sectors, with the ongoing aim of increasing public engagement in a popular, practical, action-based campaign.
The post-holder must be able to develop effective partnerships to achieve the desired behavioural change outcomes. Experience of managing staff, budgets, and programmes is essential.

Responsibilities
6. Oversee all Live Here Love Here programme activities, including reporting, meetings, and the Small Grants programme.
7. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to boost engagement across Northern Ireland.
8. Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements and tender contracts.
9. Collaborate with the Communication Team and external agencies for campaign management.
10. Develop innovative activities and events to keep Live Here Love Here in the public eye.
11. Prepare and submit income-generating proposals aligned with strategic objectives.
12. Manage the creation and distribution of support materials, and develop effective PR strategies.
13. Update campaign websites and social media regularly.
14. Ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery of work.
15. Review and optimise working practices for maximum efficiency.
16. Maintain accurate records and support IT development for reporting.
17. Manage and inspire staff effectively.
18. Assist the Head of Operations with third-party suppliers and tendering processes.
19. Conduct and organise research for campaign development and monitoring.
Support the strategic direction of Live Here Love Here.

21. Act as guardian for the Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful and Live Here Love Here.
22. Managing budgets for specific campaigns ensuring value for money and adherence to financial procedures.
23. Responsibility for all aspects of line managing Live Here Love Here staff and ensuring effective and efficient delivery of the administrative functions.
24. Assisting in the development of new and existing funding streams including, but not limited to, writing applications for funding from a variety of sources.
25. Growing the scope and scale of partners involved in supporting Live Here Love Here.
26. Representing Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful as and when required.
27. Fulfilling other duties for Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful as required on occasion..
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications, skills & experience
Essential
28. Educated to degree level.
29. Two years demonstrable experience of successful project management, including proven organisational skills and campaign planning abilities, working to a brief, within a set budget and to tight deadlines.
30. Proven financial management skills with two years’ experience.
31. Strong track record of successful fundraising across different sources of income.
32. Ability to access suitable forms of transport to fulfil the duties of the post.
33. Be confident in using ICT, including Microsoft Office and web Content Management Systems with at least two years demonstrable experience.
Desirable
34. Demonstrable experience in successfully delivering communications, behaviour change, or a marketing role involving multiple communications channels.
35. Understanding of/Experience of working with other sectors in Northern Ireland including Local and Central Government and businesses.
36. Experience of working in the voluntary and/or environmental sector.
37. Experience of handling complex partnerships.
Knowledge & Understanding
Essential
38. Understands the links between the environment, health, and the economy.
39. Able to critically analyse information, interpret research, make recommendations, and take necessary actions to improve the success of campaigns.
40. Ability to manage and motivate other staff, with at least two years’ experience of line managing paid staff.
41. Understanding of what motivates volunteers.
