The Project Construction Manager will be responsible for setting up and leading client-side projects from inception and feasibility, through to design and specification and final handover.
Responsibilities
1. Full responsibility for delivering construction projects as client-side project manager
2. Regular communication and updates on projects to all stakeholders
3. Provide clear direction and leadership
4. Work within agreed budgets
5. Ensure that all project paperwork is kept up to date
6. Manage lifecycle of the project through to handover
7. Ensure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources are utilised efficiently to ensure cost control
8. Ensure Project is delivered to Health and Safety Guidelines
9. Manage risk and implement strategy where necessary
Skill Set
Essential
1. BSc/HND in Construction/Building Services (or similar) or equivalent experience
2. Previous project management experience within the construction industry
3. Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety
4. Excellent organisation skills
5. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of seniority
6. Proactive individual who provides leadership
7. A team player that can integrate into an existing project management team
Desirable
1. Experience in client-side project management beneficial
2. Experience of working on an NEC project preferred
