Seagate is looking to hire talented, career-focused, and highly motivated individuals through our 4-year Degree Apprenticeship program. This program offers training and a career path in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, with education provided by Ulster University. Participants will not only receive their education at no cost but will also earn while they learn.
The hourly rate of pay that is being offered for this role is £13.00 per hour / annual compensation paid is £26,364.00. After completing your 4 years of training and graduating you will be earning an annual salary of £32,500 (current rate for Graduate, on this job level).
About the role - you will:
Successful candidates will be employed by Seagate to gain valuable experience in our thriving global manufacturing business while studying for a degree with no fees or costs associated with higher education. Throughout the four years you’ll develop invaluable skills in all elements of engineering, supported by close mentorship and academic guidance from Ulster University.
Upon satisfactory performance and successful completion of the course, you will continue your career with Seagate, building on your knowledge gained. After the 4 years of training and upon completion of your degree, you will be offered a permanent position at Seagate as a Graduate Engineer. (On completion of your degree you must achieve a minimum level of 2.2).

About you:
1. Earn while you learn – continuing your studies with on-site experience.
2. Complete a Level 6 Honours Degree qualifications in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering (over 4 years).
3. Learn new technical skills to increase knowledge and ability in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.
4. Comply with health and safety policy and procedures.
5. Coached & mentored by a wide variety of highly skilled, diverse, and experienced people.
6. Be part of a high-performing team.
Your experience includes:
1. Self-motivation and enthusiasm.
2. An excellent communicator.
3. Experience or interest in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Engineering/Maintenance with desire to work in Engineering in a world-class industry.
To be successful in this role, you must end your schooling with the following grades: 3 x B’s (A Level or equivalent). Please provide your predicted grades on your application.
Two of your subjects must be in the following subjects: BTEC National Diploma in Engineering or SND National Diploma or A Level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Technology and Design, Design and Technology, Double Award Life and Health Sciences, Double Award Science/Applied Science, Engineering or Electronics.
You must provide us with your predicted grades when submitting your application.
You must be over 18 years of age by 1st September 2025

All offers of employment are conditional upon and subject to annual funding from DfE.
This is a Full-Time position working Mon – Fri, 1 day a week at Seagate and 4 days at Ulster University for the first year. Years 2, 3 & 4 will be 4 days a week on-site at Seagate and 1 day at Ulster University. During the University holidays you will be scheduled to work at Seagate E.G. Summer, Christmas etc.
