Job Description
This role is to be accountable to the Naval Base Estates Manager for the leadership, management and delivery of the Estates Performance, Maintenance and Asset Management of the Waterfront Estate.
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Naval Base Estate Manager on the management of the Naval Base under the Hard FM Function, which includes:
1. To articulate the requirement and priority for service delivery of waterfront civil structures to the Industry Partner.
2. Identify programmes and costs for replacement or upgrade of MoD owned waterfront assets.
3. Manage the asset ownership function, to include managing the condition and compliance, asset decision making and project strategic definition to assure that the Naval Base estate is safe to operate, and asset capability supports output requirements.
4. Ensure the estates is compliant with statutory and legal requirements.
5. Management of risk across the estate.
6. Review maintenance job plans and schedules.
7. Review condition surveys ensuring optimised maintenance programmes, considering condition, whole life costs, funding and operational requirements.
8. Assure compliance with regulations, ensure that the maintenance and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
The role has line management responsibility of a Waterfront Maintenance and Contract Performance Manager and a Project Manager.
Person specification
Level 5 in Facilities Management/Project Management related discipline or relevant experience in lieu at the discretion of the Estates Manager.
