System Administration
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 - depending on experience
Location: Stevenage / Bolton / Bristol

We're working with an award-winning, world-leading engineering organisation with sites across Europe, that has an exciting opportunity for a Solution Integration Engineer who will join part of an existing team that has subject matter expert-level knowledge in our current enterprise application toolset, deployment methods, and support service.
System Administration Role:
The Information Systems Engineering team is taking a transformative step to build a fast-paced development environment for installations and configuration of application-based solutions. This new environment aims to give internal IT teams and business customers the ability to initiate and deliver projects with greater efficiency and leverage automation capability to spin up the instances and the subsequent playbooks for application deployments.
We are looking for someone with the skillset and approach to leverage the existing team's experience to adapt it to our new automation capability, as well as being the focal point for supporting end users with project instances and application-related incidents within the development environment.
This new development environment will also require us to form a service in close partnership with our department's Infrastructure Operations team to inform better approaches in the production landscape.
Responsibilities:
1. Strong understanding of application deployment practices, utilising Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code practices.
2. Proactivity to maintain a service in line with the production environment baseline and security compliance standards.
3. Good understanding of monitoring and logging tools to ensure continuity of service and expertise in security best practices for configuring and maintaining enterprise and desktop applications.
4. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to analyse complex problems and devise effective solutions.
5. Excellent customer service, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
6. Ability to work locally and internationally to promote innovation and improvement.
