We are looking for an individual who would like to join our team as an Activity Organiser on a permanent basis.
Our service aim to provide meaningful activities that provide enjoyment and personal fulfilment whilst encouraging inclusion, promoting independence and expanding the individual’s interests and skills. We work in a person-centred way with our people with learning and or physical/sensory disability so that their needs are consistently met in a sensitive way, whilst being flexible and adaptable to their individual’s needs and aspirations.
You will creatively plan, organise, lead and participate in activities. Promoting participation from the people who access our services. You will need a positive mindset, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
You will be required to have experience of caring for people with a learning and/or physical disability, have enthusiasm and the ability to motivate others. We are looking for individuals with a real passion for supporting others and ensuring the people who access our services get the best they can out of their time with us.
It is essential that you already hold a literacy and numeracy qualification at GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent.
Basic first aid or the ability to achieve within 6 months is also required. Experience working with those with who require positive behaviour support and have complex needs is also desirable.
Current hours of work are Monday to Friday during the day however you must be prepared to be flexible for any evening activities.
