Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 3 years of experience working with BMC Discovery or similar IT asset management tools. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud technologies. Experience with CMDB, ServiceNow, and other ITSM tools is a plus. Technical Skills: Deep understanding of BMC Discovery architecture, scanning methods, and troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in network protocols such as SNMP, WMI, SSH, and HTTP/HTTPS. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate and enhance discovery processes. Certifications: BMC Certified Specialist – BMC Discovery or equivalent certification is a strong plus. ITIL Foundation or similar IT service management certification is desirable. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret discovery data and produce actionable insights. Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in troubleshooting discovery and integration issues. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to document technical concepts clearly and provide training to non-technical users. Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
